The Simple, Powerful Truth Why Shyness and Social Anxiety Can Be Cured Painlessly

shyness, social anxiety
Shyness does not have to mean loneliness
"3 out of every 10 people in the world suffer from some form of shyness or social anxiety disorder. You are not alone in this."

Most people tend to see anxiety and shyness as a kind of mental disorder. It's not!

Shyness is a perception dilemma, followed by anxiety which is a response to not being able to cope with or solve that dilemma.

Most of us (yeah, me included) suffer from shyness and social anxiety when we are in unfamiliar surroundings or are meeting new people (strangers, friends, work colleagues and so on). This can cause stage fright, panic attacks or a state of extreme anxiety including nervous stuttering, stammering, shaking and sweating.

So what do you do in cases like these?

Simple. Just release yourself and change your thoughts! (Like flipping a light switch.)

As soon as you're in the anxiety-causing situation, instead of retreating into a shell and letting negative thoughts taking over, take a risk and embolden yourself.

Think about it a minute... What if you replace the predominantly negative image of the situation you are in with a positive one?

What if, instead of "Resisting" the situation and triggering off a full-blown panic attack, you "Accept" the situation and take tiny baby steps forward?

By accepting a situation (however stressful or anxiety-inducing it might be) you are in fact signaling your brain to calm down this instant. Yes, your mind actually begins to calm down when you simply accept a situation where you would otherwise feel shy, nervous, anxious and afraid.

This is the first step. The most important step.

If you want to face your fears, blow them out of the water and live life to the fullest then you will have to start thinking differently, starting now.

It's not simply about facing a situation, event or person in the old "face the tormentor" kind of scenario... That's not what's happening here.

What's REALLY happening is that you are beginning to face yourself.
